UAE’s Al Khoory Hotels gear for expansion ahead of Expo 2020 in Dubai

Middle Eastern group Al Khoory Hotels, the hospitality branch of UAE conglomerate Al Khoory Group, has big plans for its operations and developments over the next year.

With their sights set on the Expo Dubai 2020, Al Khoory Hotels has made changes to its management structure and intends to grow its regional presence in the coming months.

We find out more.

AL KHOORY GOES BIG FOR 2020

The hospitality arm of the Al Khoory Group was launched in 2008 with Al Khoory Hotel Apartments.

Since then, it has gone on to become Al Khoory Hotels, which operates several properties in the mid-range sector of the UAE market.

With hotels in some of Dubai’s premier destinations and tourist spots, Al Khoory has already cemented itself in Dubai’s hospitality landscape.

The company plans to build on this success with opening a further two properties this year and more to be added in 2020.

This boutique hotel group aims to provide memorable experiences for families from all over the world who choose Al Khoory for their unrivalled comfort, elegance and convenience, as well as their proximity to some of the best sights and entertainment hubs in Dubai.

Mr. Abdulla Mohamed Tayeb Khoory, vice-chairman of Al Khoory Hotels, said, “These are exciting times for Al Khoory Hotels especially in the run-up to the Expo 2020 and we believe the team brings the right blend of experience and maturity to spearhead the growth.”

EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS TO FOSTER GROWTH

Several new appointments at senior management levels have been made within the group.

The intention of re-shuffling the management structure is to put Al-Khoory in a good position to expand, grow, and improve its services and operations in the lead up to Dubai 2020.

Arun Kumar has been named as General Manager – Hospitality, a role to which he brings over 27 years of industry experience.

Meanwhile, Ivo Tzvetkov has been appointed as General Manager — Operation and Quality Control, and Bijay Mahtani will take on the role of head of the Sales team for the group.
